My pet hate , Council done 2 out of 3 of our Village exits 

covered the roads Tuesday still not swept up

out of bounds to all 2 wheels vehicles / bicycles  for weeks until swept up

gonna Email our siack council tomorrow 🤬

Back in around 2011 the wife bought a kawasaki er6f if you can remember me posting about it.  She came off on that shell stuff they put down and left loose on the road with no signage just 6 weeks after buying the bike . It took over 3 years to get the money back for damage to the bike, loss of earnings and a broken leg. after everyone else was paid she got around £4k.

REPLY from North Lincs council

 

they suspended sweeping as it was too hot and would have damaged the treatment, started sweeping today and will aplly 2 more sweeps after the hot werather next week

and will re-instate the white border lines

can't say fairer than that :)

This is what happened to my car when I was at University July 19th 1985

surface dressing at 80 mph 

it was totally my fault , 3rd party only insurance, no one paid out  

back to being a poor student cathing buses for at least 2 weeks :rolleyes:

That surface dressing thing looks a bit strange to me, i guess the procedure is different here

i expect you do it properly , dig up the road and apply proper smooth tarmac

 

surface dressing is a cheap solution to hide the real state of the roads

Or not, they may tell you that the road is not rated very high use, it can wait another 10 years for repairs
