you always find US numbers using SAE and STD are way way lower than than the UK  DIN settings :huh:

Gen3 165 rwhp stock, 172hp mapped and 184 hp with drop in cams , similartuned Gen2 mapped @  178 hp     all very low

Yes I understand that … Atmos, temp etc 

johns dyno has always been pretty honest 

and SAE figures are about 2% lower than DIN is what we use over this side of the pond

What ever they tell you about gen3 power numbers,

i just want to know what makes it produce more power ?

Displacement is the same, comp ratio, cylinder head structure, what else,

does it help having smaller throttle bodies, and few cats.

Head chamber design is bit different but does it really count that much.

Maybe they have  ceramic coated heads valves and pistons :rolleyes:
