I cant be sure. Its on the side and although not very noticeable, it looks like it could have been there when purchased but i didnt see it. I will sort it out one way or the other.

The bike is superb, i have a Gen 2 as well. They are both stunning machines, mid range on the 3 is better than the 2. My only gripe of the fuel tank capacity on the 3. Apart fro that, one happy owner

ah ok, what is the comparable mpg between the 2 and 3 ?

peeps say the handling is better on the Gen3 v Gen2 ?

@JOHN-DYNOSTAR IIRC, the 1000cc gsxr has a ball bearing rotating timing adjuster thingy slapped on the side of the engine. Could this arrangement be moved to the busa?

    This https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/2017-suzuki-gsxr1000-videos-show-vvt-tech-features/

i'm sure it could but i think Suzuki dont have enough  R&D resources cash etc

but maybe the relatively low rpm range 3k to 11k is not worth it

as gixers have 3k to 14k range makes more sense

  3. @MikaSinteresting vid from MM

with map and alien head exhaust   184 hp 110lbft

these CNC from cyprus are half the height of OEM  - look like a good mod for the Gen3

Short stacks lose 3-4 hp  at mid range but gains 18hp @ 11,000

another screen shot of DD3 (blue line) compared to GEN2 (green line) = more torque for Gen3 still and mid range power and strong top end

sorry after 2 minutes of listening.

If he or any of his family "hit" the rev limiter . the engine would definitely be "toast"

by the time they shut the throttle

    fast reactions NOT

probably has really good 60' times at the drag race :D

    edit

watched the vid and had to laugh at "factory defect" :D
