I cant be sure. Its on the side and although not very noticeable, it looks like it could have been there when purchased but i didnt see it. I will sort it out one way or the other.
The bike is superb, i have a Gen 2 as well. They are both stunning machines, mid range on the 3 is better than the 2. My only gripe of the fuel tank capacity on the 3. Apart fro that, one happy owner
ah ok, what is the comparable mpg between the 2 and 3 ?
peeps say the handling is better on the Gen3 v Gen2 ?

i have no idea - was it damaged under warranty
we only have 2 maybe 3 new Gen3 owners

@JOHN-DYNOSTAR IIRC, the 1000cc gsxr has a ball bearing rotating timing adjuster thingy slapped on the side of the engine. Could this arrangement be moved to the busa?
This https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/2017-suzuki-gsxr1000-videos-show-vvt-tech-features/
i'm sure it could but i think Suzuki dont have enough R&D resources cash etc
but maybe the relatively low rpm range 3k to 11k is not worth it
as gixers have 3k to 14k range makes more sense

That is a racers mod, not for the street rider
yes it is mentions top speed, drag racing
he says.. as the bike already will lift the front wheel its good to lose a few hp mid range for the improved 15hp at top end
-
@MikaSdon't you wish your bikes could do the 'pops' and 'bangs' annoy your neighbours and the bears
-
@MikaSinteresting vid from MM
with map and alien head exhaust 184 hp 110lbft
these CNC from cyprus are half the height of OEM - look like a good mod for the Gen3
Short stacks lose 3-4 hp at mid range but gains 18hp @ 11,000
another screen shot of DD3 (blue line) compared to GEN2 (green line) = more torque for Gen3 still and mid range power and strong top end

Not at 300 miles you haven't....
true, but as it said incorrect valve lash- engine not to spec
pretty sure JD took my engine to the rev limiter during recent engine break-in

It was shimmed wrong
i must admit i have taken my old engine to the rev limiter loads of times

sorry after 2 minutes of listening.
If he or any of his family "hit" the rev limiter . the engine would definitely be "toast"
by the time they shut the throttle
fast reactions NOT
probably has really good 60' times at the drag race
edit
watched the vid and had to laugh at "factory defect"
Lucky I set mine lower then
-
engine threw a valve keeper/collet max revs 140 mph - no compression on 1 cylinder
dealer would not warrant as exhaust change and they know he rides bikes to race
not catastrophic
-
everyone knows that - no need to do garage test

Must be earning a fortune off YouTube .

only because he is the only bloke looking at Gen3 stuff

Just to show an unbiased view on it all , here is a scooter tuners view with a different dyno
https://www.pedparts.co.uk/blog/moped-tuning-all-about-dynos
there is a common thread here
i understand now
i won't tell the yank site as they think the sunshines out of MM arse

Not both at the same time,
meaning the wheel hp numbers from one dyno was the engine hp on other
like one of those 'no load' dynos John was on about
@JOHN-DYNOSTAR you obviously have experience with no load dynos, for me a mere mortal how do you know MM dyno is one of those ?

Either your numbers are impressive or they are true
eh ??

Our junior member brought his 1441cc Gen2 to this dyno, (homemade or whatever), to check the bike before the speed event we had.
He got 237hp on the wheel , afr was ok though
wow impressive

velocity stacks next - don't think that will do much, been there and done that

did anyone read the comments about the other stuff ? . I just couldn’t
most comments are about the love of 'pops and bangs' then 3 arguing its' seriously underpowered and should have been 1441

188 bhp SAE 113 lbft with added pops and bangs
