while i'm sipping my tea

i don't think i posted this before?

+5mm overbore , Motec , bored out throttle bodies(same as Gen2)  , 425 cams + stacks

made 235hp on MR12 125 torque - made 225hp on pump gas

cams dialled in to peak power -   interesting 10hp loss of power / torque below 5k

Big cam and big bore make less power and torque than Stock Gen3

Was really an observation BUT you knew that :)

Yes, the low range is hard to get right with big cams.

I had the 1600cc bike and still it was not as good as stock gen1 from tickover to ,lets say, 2000rpm. But it had almost 100hp more at top compared to stock gen1. (the early 1600, not this last one)

it must be a pain riding around twisty roads with not much straights following a Gen3 with ample low end :zipped:

It was.

The strategy is to make a hard launch and build big gap before the twisties begin, gen3 will catch up but it cant pass when i am squirming all over the road, on purpose.
