    Motoman technique from USA forum

    What is dino oil ?

My new bike when I get it will be driven in 1st gear halfway home. I use the Motoman break-in procedure and have consistently fast bikes. Stock faster than decked out bikes with 4 in1, pc5 all of them. 3-6k 3 times, upshift, let cool for 5 minutes while riding. Same as before except 6-9k 3 times, cool, 9- redline 3 times. The bike is 80% broke in. After, drive it like it's broke in, no babying this bike. I use regular dino oil for a least 3 more changes, then switch to pure synthetic.

    Mineral oil, from dinosaurs.

Sounds witchcraft to me, maybe he cooked few frogs and bat tongues as well

so 190 engine power = not at the wheels , just checking no confusion.

so is it fair to factor in 9% loss for at the wheel 173

so it makes what Suzuki claim which is 190 hp at engine

    Yes, 190 on engine.

JD, help !! Do we need to explain whats with this dyno ??

  3. They sold the first Gen3 yesterday in Finland, and owner rode straight to dyno,

(i guess it was the first as they did not have time to paint it, it was left white)

so, he thought it would be 15min job, but they started with taking out the airbox and checking injectors,

Sami said there might be a chance to use ZX10R Power Commander as the injector connectors are the same.

He mostly uses engine power numbers, (Dynostar D70),

    first pull 190.7hp/9544rpm, torque 155.5nm/7978rpm

where stock gen2 gives 181-183hp in this dyno.

Using gen2 with exhaust, tuned with ecueditor as comparison , gen2 pulls more top end power, after 9000rpm.

They found out it was running rich, not lean as expected,

installing Akrapovic and tune, only sky is the limit  :)

As a sidenote, the new Gen3 owner was/is a serious Kawasaki man, now he has mixed feelings.

  4. Do a checkup on Yammie`s history, he does not have a long history on bikes, he does not understand the nostalgy values.

Btw, i just saw a clip on japanese people, now i understand why gen3 turned out that way, the new generation of japanese have a huge sexual frustration going on, they have escaped to virtual world and lost contact to what is real, also the Suzuki engineers, i presume.

  5. Why i think the launch control is just ridiculous feature, i have to keep old eggs with me to throw if see someone using the LC at traffic lights.

And when are you going to watch the lean angle display, or brake pressure,

it is just like those cars which have indicators running left and right, pointless crap, they want to make vehicles look like toys, or christmas ornaments, phew.

  6. There is something wrong with the speedo,

very start of this video look at the needle, it gets stuck couple times, what is that ?

Maybe it is also controlled by ecu, it decides what speed to show for the rider, not true speed. Sounds like VolksWagen again.

Another thing, at 5.03  the screen is about to fly off

  7. They say DD3 goes 0-60mph in 2.7s , but how about average Joe, what if he does it in 3.5s or slower, 4s , 5s,

then there comes the racing snake with a Bandit and leaves Busa rider eating dust,

i would be careful talking about numbers, although thats what i do :(

I need the high hp turbo to beat any stock bikes, just aim, close eyes and let it go,

i'm just pointing out what was printing - no need to shoot the messenger :zipped:

i looked at my vid at Woodbridge dash view and with a shit pull away i was also 16 seconds to 187 on clock in 5th

Lets make a deal that we wont rest until you have proven your bike quicker and faster than the DD3 , after modifications ?
