you can see where the Design A team was working.
we had Design Team C:
Suzuki Japan care home engineers, should have got some younger engineers - by 30 years

Same opportunity they missed in 2008 Mark. I felt the same disappointment with the 2 as you do with the 3.
It's a real shame but it looks like they've done the same thing again. No money to spend so they've tweaked the existing bike to meet new regs and tried to convince everyone that it's new. Hill start, ffs!
I'd have loved to see a short stroke big bore rev happy motor, something like a gen 1 63mm stroke with 86mm offset bores - 1464cc would have had me at their door. All fits within the existing frame and bodywork.
So that's it then John, on with Project Swansong

in the states rrp is

My takeaway from that video is the Japanese designers took the "if it ain't broke don't fix it approach".... again.
..."the gen 1 was such a big hit....."
no meado you miss the meaning
one jap said "he expects many owners will own all 3"

Maybe something not suitable for your needs,
you have to discuss that with JD,
i am not sure what he was after
ok

What a bunch of muppets , JD would say.
Gen3 was approved by 61 year old Toshihiro Suzuki who ran it to 112mph , "was immediately impressed"
They tried big blocks, 6 cylinder, turbo`s , but decided to go with the old design, oh man...
Styling designer Takumi Takano looks like he had a electric shock while smoking weed.
Suzuki are being politically correct - all cars and bikes are limited to 112 mph in Japan
its the world we live no more 'willy waiving' speed is now a dirty word in Automotive marketing

I might have a block for you, it needs the overbore and replate job, then as new. I would suggest also upgrade the cams, as i am sure you would appreciate the upper range.
thanks Mika, do you have a spare head floating around in your parts store ?

Does it fit normal sized blokes, or is it again just for sub 6ft midgets ?
Yes does suit the short arse - bars 12mm closer to rider for 'better control'

all i want to say is been waiting 10 years,
John F Kennedy said in 1961 by the end of the decade man will walk on the moon , he did it a year early
Suzuki Japan 10 years on have gone backwards, they missed the opportunity to take the lead
-
yes it's me again was gonna go for a 35 mile hard cycle - but can't be bothered
might go get some Belgian beers after lunch
not even a fecking mention of improved front and rear suspension, what's that all about, they must know STOCK Gen2 is as lardy as fuck
Euro 5 - red hot headers from ultra lean burn, and still less economic, extra rubber mounts on steering to hide the Gen2 4,5k revs vibrations
MikaS you got a spare GEN1 block and head lying about, i see a project for John during next winter '22 lockdown
Should make then 200,000 miles

Expect a gen 4 with a smaller motor and a supercharger for 2023 the technology for which Suzuki have already registered.
in time for Euro 6 ... i could be dead by then

comments from a US Hayabusa die hard
CONGRATULATIONS !!! ZERO increase in engine displacement.I have never...NEVER, witnessed such lazy and cowardly company "effort".A complete and utter fucking FAILURE to seize and control a market.Ugly ass plastics, 7hp loss, some stupid useless electronics with an unjustified higher price.WTF???in the days of Euro 5 strangling every other quality brand has managed to increase Power and performance by design allowing as John says for electronics to aid rather than reduce
Ducati V4, beemer S1000rr they are all better with Euro5
why didn't the lazy gits add VVT to give low down whilst upping top end
the GIXXER thou has the great ball bearing principle VVT simple but effective...
what was all the patented designs bull shit , maybe for Hill start

MCN worse on fuel from 50mpg to 42 mpg
that won’t suit BHM DD3 176 miles from tank he gets 245miles with his 19/40 gearing
