bear in mind that video was released prior to launch , chris may have assumed it would have 1441 cc etc
No, that was his latest video, he went through the tech pages and was fully aware what it is.

At least he is excited for the gen3 , they call it 2022
-
Our price for the gen3 is 23890 €

The fuckwit who bought my Gen 1 totalled it within 6 months - I spent 5 years keeping it in immaculate nick - sone people got no respect
That brings me memories, i had a mk2 Escort 1.3 , red and very nice shape, then sold it to neighbours son who just got his license, it took him couple days to roll it over, it sat there in the middle of the road upside down

Not knowing anything about engines Is there any reason why the mechanical thing that advances the timing on the gsxr1000 can't be fitted to the busa engine?
Apart from a bit of software maybe
What comes to mind, gsxr1000 has wider rev range and less torque, it benefits more using adjustable cam timing.
I asked my tuner what if we tried fitting adjustable intake cam in the busa engine, he said we have too much torque already and cant use it fully, just adjust the cams for top end and we will be fine,

thanks Mika, do you have a spare head floating around in your parts store ?
Maybe something not suitable for your needs,
you have to discuss that with JD,
i am not sure what he was after
-
What a bunch of muppets , JD would say.
Gen3 was approved by 61 year old Toshihiro Suzuki who ran it to 112mph , "was immediately impressed"
They tried big blocks, 6 cylinder, turbo`s , but decided to go with the old design, oh man...
Styling designer Takumi Takano looks like he had a electric shock while smoking weed.
from 14:25 they talk to each other trying to convince they made the right choice, and it does not look convincing,
"i feel we really raised the bar in big way"
"when i look at the final product, i am once again convinced that we made the right decision" , looking around , avoiding eye contact, kicking rocks...

MikaS you got a spare GEN1 block and head lying about, i see a project for John during next winter '22 lockdown
I might have a block for you, it needs the overbore and replate job, then as new. I would suggest also upgrade the cams, as i am sure you would appreciate the upper range.
-
"1mm reduction in the throttle body inner diameter"
oh, we were thinking if the gen3 throttle body would be upgrade for the gen2,

I am disappointed what they came up with, still i want to test ride it as soon as it comes,
but i have other motive than most
-
I had to look up on the dictionary, these new terms i didn`t know,
poise, grace, breath-taking and higher level,
what i did know was, predictable

Question they all say its 200hp so if is still the old weak 1340 engine for it to be Euro 5 restricted as hell it has to be a bigger CC
There is one of the surprises,
i really want to see how they present it,

After 23 pages of anticipation should we set up a helpline for the crushing disappointment when it fails to match your expectations ?
As always, Ken knows what he is talking about,
i heard from reliable source that it will be disappointment for some/lots of people,
no 1400cc, no massive power gains, more like upgrade for electrics, chassis and smaller details in engine, also grips are mounted up and back , for aged riders who were young guys when the gen1 first was launched.

ouch that is expensive
Other dealer was guessing nearer to 25k,
our prices have always been bit high,
-
They been selling Gen3`s in advance for 22500 euros here ?
not sure if they really know what the real price would be, says another dealer.
Also heard, they ordered 60 Busas for Finland, we will see how many Suzuki will deliver this year.

Looks like the new-for-1999 frame still though, not that there's anything wrong with that.Nothing indeed, the frame is rigid and engine easy to maintain, why change one of the best part of the bike,
