Basically changed the cam timing
and put longer intake stacks on to cope and give more mid range
we did this 4 years ago with Roddys and 5 years ago with Bazz's.
this is bad
because if you add the electronics they only reduce what you already have
all the other manufacturers have more power which demand electronics to control it .
i'm gonna hang on, i like a nice handling bike ( i hear the piss takers Dr Evo can't ride)
STOCK GEN2 shockers etc
it means me having to spend more dosh upgrading Ohlins and front end, plus my carbon water ingress wheels wont fit
i need to spend another £5k to make it mike mine improved, i like more power and it will stick in my head it will be 15 rwhp down on mine was at it height 195 hp
if stockGEN2 is 185 at wheels now its down ANOTHER 7 hp - I WILL FEEL that
no.... that ain't good

MCN worse on fuel from 50mpg to 42 mpg
that won’t suit BHM DD3 176 miles from tank he gets 245miles with his 19/40 gearing
needs the 3 cats removed and better cam
-
Oh I forget the hill hold for the infirmed old gits
-
Better aerodynamic to counter the power loss
-
Quickest 0-60 time
launch control
2kg lighter at 264kg wet
-
189,000 sold Gen1 and Gen2 worldwide

Wait 7 hp loss at top end and less peak torque figure

Available after lockdown

Of course the price rises with slip ones
heated grips , valve caps
-
£16,499 cheaper than I thought
Imperceptible reduction in top end power more low end and mid range
lighter he says
watched all the vid and the conclusion is I like it
In real time riding it has got to be the best ever
i see now why ZZR1400 was withdrawn

So I'm guessing John will be able to upgrade the engine then
He needs a donor bike to feck it up first- then we can go to Malton
No mention of price and for you matt heated grips are extra

Because it isn't new....still 1340
Oh dear
Will have to see how much power that US tuner can extract from new Pistons and secondary injectors delivering a fine must into the funnel

Can't see any sign of new capacity

This 200hp, is it wheel or crank
Curious to see what they do. With some material changes they could muck about with bore and stroke using pretty much the same design instead of a complete new engine.
Don't some of the grasstrack crowd use short stroke cranks? Would let them push the revs up a bit to get a headline figure.
Do we find out tomorrow?
7 am UK time - are you staying up

no 1400cc, no massive power gains, more like upgrade for electrics, chassis and smaller details in engine, also grips are mounted up and back , for aged riders who were young guys when the gen1 first was launched.
Question they all say its 200hp so if is still the old weak 1340 engine for it to be Euro 5 restricted as hell it has to be a bigger CC

As always, Ken knows what he is talking about,
i heard from reliable source that it will be disappointment for some/lots of people,

The excitement builds in the states
Ps, Chris telling us about all the electronics on the new bike and how cool they are. Those will be the first things to hit the trash can -

But if the Gen 3 is bigger than 1407 I may have to revist a shop up in Yorkshire
not sure you can do much more as you have one of those fragile light blocks

Engine braking and anti wheelie
wonder if it has patented VVT installed ?
so whip the exhaust and get 220 at the wheels
it certainly a way better bike than that whizzy supercharged H2 SX and probably lighter too
