Lighter crank, updated pistons and rods, redesigned injectors, does not mean shite, 2hp max

haha :D     Cant be once 3 restrictive cats are removed

He said bigger exhaust cams just by looking at PC monitor , and 11% more airflow possible via airbox, as john says many are hoping for 40hp increase

i have subscribed to his channel USA bikes are released June 21, UK bikes are here end of march.

i am pretty sure DVSA MOT don't give a feck about motorcycle emissions.  so let us hope a brave owner will let John loose on Gen3, maybe Madmattt's

At least he is excited for the gen3 , they call it 2022

    so i watched it...

what do you think John and Mika he is super excited..  lighter crankshaft up to date pistons and valve train.

says with bigger air box, 8 injectors with downward baffle plates, aftermarket exhaust  and that all important RBW remap

    what power and torque

    i'll guess at 194 rwhp  and 114 lbft ???

So there is a lot of banter going on on here about the Gen3, But has anyone paid and pre ordered one ?. I wonder how many recalls it will have in the first year or 2.

yes believe A member off here mentioned here earlier - i'm not flicking back through the 400 odd pages

i'm surprised your not getting one together with 2 sets of panels and 2 sets of wheels , you seem flush with cash :poke: :D

  4. right crazy pointless benchmarking :zipped:

    0-200 metres  acceleration   and 0 -100 Kmh

    Gen 1   7.1  secs         and                       3.3 secs

    Gen2   6.9  secs        and                        3.4  secs

    Gen3  6.8   secs       and                        3.2 secs

    https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/news/2021/february/new-suzuki-hayabusa-2021

bullshit , how convenient to choose and pick data

i'd like to see via mags   0 - 180 mph

    0 - 1mile

    40 - 120 mph in 4th      (zzr1400 Gen2 = 6.1 secs) good indicator of wide torque

Our price for the gen3 is 23890 €

yes, but you get paid more over there , you know like in Iceland where a Mars bars the universal benchmark cost a £5

Mars = horrible sugar chocolate bar

We've just arrived in Reykjavik and staying self catering, so thought we'd pop to the shop and get some bits in. I'll try to attach the photo of what we bought...but was 12 items including eggs, bread, milk, Cola and cheese... this cost us £42!!!

I have read some reviews on here about how much things cost, and that it wasn't as bad as it used to be, but this has really shocked me! It's 4 times as much as the same items would cost at home.

yes Mika he has that stiff neck again :zipped:

bear in mind that video was released prior to launch , chris may have assumed it would have 1441 cc etc

not with a reduced diameter throttle bodies and mild cam

no doubt the exhaust will be binned and he may well open the engine and tweak

    we shall see

he has been bragging on Hayabusa.org how he will spank Ricky Gadson  and the zx14r

    again we shall see

I do like the cruise control with the speed limiter as it would be good on the M-ways. But hiill start is for someone who can't control there bike and if thats the case they should not be on a busa.  Its like suzuki are trying to win sales on all the new gizmos they have put on the bike. I would like to know the weight of the gen3 in gen1 form without all the gizmos, and with aftermarket exhausts. As for the money, i think Evo is right in spending say unto 3k on his gen2 for engine mods than only get 4k px for his gen2 towards the 16.5k gen 3.

Martin my bike has done 99,355

i don’t think I would would get anywhere near £4K part ex

I would need to sell the Carbon wheels   And ohlins rear shock that would be the same price as the bike

    Hi all,

Just signed up on here today to see what you all think of the Gen 3 as I have been waiting in anticip.......ation for this one, got up early to watch it live, the new bonkers Hayabusa gen 3 then......oh is that it.

I had an L5 Gen 2 for 3 years and 16000 miles but chopped it in for an L8 GSXR 1000 as I do closed circuit days at the Nordschleife and had found the limits of the Busa from a ground clearance and weigh perspective so the new GSXR seemed like the way to go but I do miss the sheer grunt of the Gen 2 and was considering returning to the fold.

I was hoping for 200 BHP and a significant weight saving instead they give us less power, a mere 2kg weight saving, a shed load of electronics we will never use and poorer economy.

Considering they did such a good job on the GSXR, 199 BHP and 203 KG, returns 50 mpg on the road (Track time is a different story) how could they get this so wrong.

Having said that I still want to ride one to see what its like but feel that there will be a lot of ex demos hanging about at the end of the year.

    Yours disappointedly

    Rigsey

i'm also gonna purchase one of those VBOX data loggers so i can record accelerations before/after and zx14 you can borrow it john - if you know some quiet straights put to bed the best 1441 busa or kwak

i need something to do on a tuesday afternoon whilst you lot working for the good of the British economy

  10. whilst me and Nicola went for a 4.5 mile walk

half the walk was talking to 2 UKB members chewing the cud of Gen3  :empathy:  + :empathy:

i must admit Mrs Mark3evo is happy i'm not gonna blow £17k of my pension fund on a Gen3

but she has agreed that the botch external oil seal applied to clutch pushrod needs to be fixed properly

if splitting engine better at same time for 1441 refresh

"yes darling" :hyper: she says
