Bike magazine ran 0-60 in 2.6 and 4.92 0-100 in 2008

So it's slower, slower accelerating, you still need to re-work the suspension and replace the wheels.  But you get gadgets and fridge handles.

All for £16,500 and a slap in the face trade in on your faster bike.

Why didn't you sign there and then

i have to go back there again and get my driving licence back, i'll say i'm still umming and arring

like i said its not slow and it makes less the skill-full ride like a 'pro'

but i've been there and done that  time to move up a peg on the power stakes

Did you have to sign some form of "Non-disclosure agreement" to have the test ride....:takeball:

perhaps your old Gen2 is just clapped-out :empathy:

BHM

His motor sounds good actually. A little rattley on tickover like most busas (camchain), but fine otherwise. I don't think you'll find much power loss there. Tis obvious the oil gets changed regularly.

Anyway, it's a low mileage busa now...

You could say that you are actually looking for a faster than your current bike

Eh, did Enfa say he is the fastest in here  :)

Mark talking about wanting more and wanting to be scared, brings to mind what it really takes, you get used to lot of things,

actually we have a saying , you can get used to anything but one (not sure if this came out right)

good write up Mark, i think once you have gone down the 1441cc route, some other fresh bits added to your gen2, a bike you know inside and out i think you will be happy and of course you will have more power at your wrist that a DD3.

Just my thoughts.
