Even though they have spend little in the R&D dept you do have to wonder if they will get any worthwhjile profit from it.

What market does it appeal to?

US? Who want somethinf fast...No

Sport tourers? Fuel..riding position...No

Thier only competition are discontinued bikes.

Can only be a flag waving exercise untill they have something 'up to date'.

I guess they need to be applauded for having something that can be bought new.

Lets all move on to hoping for the GEN4

You have to remember

there is a whole NEW generation of budding  B-king riders out there .

and that Flump fell on its face :D finally

Just been watching the japanese news , there is some bloke fell on his sword

more to follow

It’s less of a bike than I’d hoped for, particularly the lack of the VVT as the GSXR, but I love how it’s retained analogue dials and the look.... it’s instantly a Hayabusa.

Would I rather have it over a standard H2 SX for similar money new, definitely. Would I rather have it over one of the 2020 ZZR1400s sat in dealers for at least £4K less..... nope.

On the plus side though. Suzuki are still manufacturing a bike that’s a hell of a lot related to the one we ride now.
So parts availability and ability to swap them from one to the other should be fairly good/affordable in the future.

Overall I think they’ve done a good job though, especially when on paper it doesn’t really make any sense to launch a Gen3 at all. It’s not adventure, not retro, or hipster. So it’s a niche product within a niche form of transport (for the UK).

MikaS you got a spare GEN1 block and head lying about,  i see a project for John  during next winter '22 lockdown

I might have a block for you, it needs the overbore and replate job, then as new. I would suggest also upgrade the cams, as i am sure you would appreciate the upper range.

right I suspect they have taken the GSXR1000 witing loom ecu and all the rest

laid it on the busa frame and said "hey !!!!"

all we gotta do is add some thing new.

"hill start"  wow !!!!!!!!

what about the GSXR 1000 smaller throttle bodies . *thinks*

tell em it makes more torque.

I mean its gotta work , we put 2mm on the crank last time 2 lower power modes

and crap styling and loads of people bought it .

so less power crapper body work its a win win :D

this is for BHM
